2. Dope Test in India
Why in news: India has highest failed dope tests: World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)
Key points:
• As per WADA report, India has recorded the highest percentage of failed dope tests among countries with >2000 or more tests.
• Doping is use of substances or physiological mediators which are not normally present in body to enhance athletes' performance during competition.
• Methods used: Manipulation of Blood & blood components, Chemical & Physical manipulation, Gene doping.

1. Intersex Rights
Why in news: UNHRC adopted first Resolution of its kind for Intersex Rights
Key points:
• Resolution is adopted at the 55th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
Purpose:
• To combat discrimination, violence and harmful practices against persons with innate variations in sex characteristics
• To Address their root causes as well as help intersex people ‘realize the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health’.
• Intersex people are born with sex characteristics (such as sexual anatomy, reproductive organs, hormonal patterns and/or chromosomal patterns) that do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies.

Why in news: Mumbai set to witness first installation of 210 artificial reefs
Key points:
• Artificial reefs are engineering technology interventions, are used to rehabilitate and/ or improve natural habitats.
• These are placed on the seabed with a fixed scientific design and functions as a self-sustaining production system.

1. Urea Production and Import
Why in news: India to stop importing urea by end of 2025
Key points:
• According to the Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mansukh Mandaviya, India will stop importing urea by the end of 2025.
• This decision has been taken due to an increase in local production capacity with the commissioning of new fertilizer plants.
• Urea production has risen steadily, reaching 284.95 lakh tonnes in 2022-23.
• Despite this, 30% of demand is still met through imports, with key sources being Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

1. Service Voters in Bihar
Why in news: Bihar witnessed highest increase in service voters.
Key points:
• Increase in service voters in Bihar is more than national average.
• The number of service voters in Bihar in 2019 was 1,39, 815 which increased up to 1,67, 469 in 2024, the average increase being 19.8 %.
• The percentage increase in Jharkhand rose up to 19. 38 % making the state 2nd having second highest service voters.
