• It serves as a forum for exchange of best practices on overseas employment.

2. Kerala Schools to adopt AI Lessons

Why in news: To ensured uniform exposure to AI for all students.

Key points:

• From academic year 2024, students of class VII in state syllabus schools will get to learn Artificial Intelligence (AI) with its introduction in the revised Information & Communication Technology (ICT) textbook.

• From 2025, curriculum of classes VIII to X will also include in-depth exploration of AI

3. State Song Of Telangana

Why in news: 'Jai Jai Hey Telangana' approved as state song Telangana.

Why in news: Secretary of Department of School Education and Literacy has inaugurated “Summer Fiesta 2024” at the National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi.

Why in news: Asian Development Bank allocated $2.6 billion in sovereign loans to India.

Key points:

• Aim: To bolster various sectors including urban development, power, industry, horticulture, connectivity, and climate resilience.

• The loans target projects fostering India’s structural transformation, job creation, infrastructure enhancement, green growth, and socioeconomic inclusiveness, integrating smart technologies and innovations.

• Key Projects Supported by ADB Funding includes initiatives such as Urban service improvement in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Tripura, road connectivity in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, horticulture development in Himachal Pradesh,etc

2. RBI Launches PRAVAAH, Retail Direct Mobile App, and FinTech Repository

Why in news: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has unveiled three major initiatives namely the Pravaah portal, the Retail Direct Mobile App, and a FinTech Repository.

Key points:

• Aim: To enhance regulatory processes, provide easier access to government securities for retail investors, and improve the understanding of the FinTech sector.

• PRAVAAH Portal The Pravaah portal is designed to streamline the application process for various regulatory approvals.

• Retail Direct Mobile App : The Retail Direct Mobile App aims to provide retail investors with seamless access to the retail direct platform.

• FinTech Repository : It is a comprehensive database of Indian FinTech firms. It intended to offer a better understanding of the sector from a regulatory perspective and aid in the formulation of appropriate policy approaches.

3. Maha Krishi Samrudhi Yojana

Why in news: Bank of Maharashtra Introduces Maha Krishi Samrudhi Yojana to Offer Financial Support for Food & Agro-Based Industries.

Key points:

• It is a pivotal initiative to offer financial assistance to Food and Agro-Based industries and Agri infrastructure projects including startups which are invovled in processing activities, and the development of agricultural infrastructure facilities

1. Agnibaan

Why in news: Agnikul Cosmos launched World's 1st 3D Printed Semicryogenic Rocket Engine, Agnibaan.

Key points:

• The rocket was launched from Agnikul Launch Pad 1 (ALP-1) India's first & only private Launchpad within Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC)-SHAR at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

• The indigenously designed and built Agnibaan SOrTeD is India's second privately built rocket after Vikram-S rocket by Skyroot aerospace with world's first 3D printed engine.

2. Long- Range SAM System

Why in news: South Korea Completes Development of Long- Range SAM System.

Key points:

• It received the combat readiness certification after clearing all technical requirements set by the Republic of Korea Armed Forces.

• L-SAM is expected to begin production by 2025 and be deployed for operations by 2028.

1. Bihar Power Distribution Company

Why in news: North Bihar Power Distribution Company has been ranked 37th while South Bihar Power Distribution Company got 38th position In the rating of 55 power companies of the country.

Key points:

• Last year, North Bihar was at 45th position and South Bihar was at 47th position.

• Both the company got C grading while Last year both the companies got C-minus grade.

2. Expenditure In Higher Education

Why in news: Among large states Bihar tops the list of expenditure on higher education.

Key points:

• According to the audit report of the central government, Bihar has spent 2.17 percent of its GSDP on higher education.

• Big States like Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are lagging behind in spending on higher education.
